  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips Use high-quality for best flavor.
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt Optional

  • chopped nuts For added texture.
  • sprinkles For decoration.
  • mini marshmallows For sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the semisweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter over low heat.
  2. Stir continuously until the chocolate chips are fully melted and the mixture is smooth. This usually takes about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Once melted, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt (if using).
  4. Quickly pour the fudge mixture into a greased 8x8-inch pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  5. If desired, sprinkle your preferred toppings such as nuts or sprinkles over the top.
  6. Allow the fudge to cool for 30 minutes at room temperature, or pop it in the fridge to set for about 15 minutes.
  7. Once set, cut into squares and enjoy your homemade delight!

Notes

Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or store in an airtight container. Fudge stays fresh for up to two weeks at room temperature and can be frozen for up to three months.
