Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank's RedHot)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, hot sauce, and ranch dressing. Mix well until everything is creamy and combined.
  3. Stir in the shredded chicken and half of the cheddar cheese, making sure everything is evenly coated with the creamy mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture into a baking dish (approximately 8x8 inches). Spread it evenly, ensuring no bits of chicken are left uncovered.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top. If using blue cheese, crumble it over the top as well.
  6. Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbling and the cheese is melted.
  7. Once out of the oven, you can sprinkle with green onions if desired, and serve hot with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or pita bread.

Notes

This dip can also be made in a slow cooker. Combine all ingredients in the crockpot and cook on low for about 2-3 hours. For ingredient substitutions, feel free to skip blue cheese if you're not a fan.
