Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the peeled and sliced apples with granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt. Stir the mixture until the apples are well-coated.
- Transfer the apple mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
- In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, and softened butter. Use your fingers or a fork to mix until the topping looks crumbly.
- Spread the topping evenly over the apple mixture.
Baking
- Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbly.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serving
- Enjoy warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!
