Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Using a sharp knife, make deep cuts in the loaf of bread in a crisscross pattern but avoid cutting all the way through the bottom, so it holds together.
- Cut the brie cheese into small pieces and insert them into the cuts of the bread.
- Spoon the cranberry sauce over and into the cuts of the bread, ensuring a good amount reaches every slice.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the loaf and sprinkle with thyme or rosemary, if using, along with salt and pepper to taste.
Baking
- Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for about 15-20 minutes until the cheese has melted and the bread is warm.
Serving
- Remove from the oven, open the foil, and let it cool slightly before serving. Pull apart each piece, dig in, and enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to experiment with other toppings like fig spread or pesto. Assemble ahead of time and store wrapped until ready to bake. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
