  • 2 cups broccoli florets Add towards the end to keep them bright.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Half-and-half can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Add gradually to avoid a stringy mess.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking the kielbasa and vegetables.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For flavor enhancement.
Optional Vegetables
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped Red bell peppers add sweetness.
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced Mushrooms soak up the creamy sauce.
  • 1 cup zucchini, sliced Cut into thin slices for even cooking.

Method
 

Cooking the Kielbasa
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook until browned and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove kielbasa from the skillet and set aside.
Cooking the Vegetables
  1. In the same skillet, add chopped bell peppers and mushrooms.
  2. Sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the garlic powder and any additional vegetables like zucchini or broccoli.
Making the Sauce
  1. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  2. Gradually stir in the shredded cheese, ensuring it melts smoothly.
  3. Return the cooked kielbasa to the skillet and stir to combine.
  4. Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, until thickened to your liking.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with crusty bread, rice, or pasta to soak up the sauce.

Notes

Avoid using crumbly sausages. Experiment with different vegetables based on your preference.
