Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Set up a dredging station with three separate plates: place flour in the first, whisked eggs in the second, and combine breadcrumbs, cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in the third.
Dredging Process
- Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip it into the eggs, and finally roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Baking
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it and arrange the coated chicken breasts on the sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the coating is crispy and golden brown.
Serving
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
For extra crispy chicken, lightly spray with cooking spray before baking. If using leftover cheddar cheese, substitutions can include mozzarella or pepper jack for uniqueness. Cook time should be monitored closely to avoid overcooking.
