Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti pasta
Shrimp
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh shrimp is preferred.
Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Melt in the skillet.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Be careful not to burn.
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 juiced lemon
  • to taste Salt and pepper
Garnish
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add linguine or spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Cooking
  1. Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, letting it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together. Add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For the best results, use fresh shrimp. Don’t overcook the shrimp, as they can turn rubbery.
