Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken works great!)
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Frank's Red Hot sauce Adjust to your flavor preference
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Optional Garnish
  • chopped green onions For garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). A hot oven is essential for getting that deliciously bubbly top.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded chicken, Frank's Red Hot sauce, ranch dressing, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix everything until smooth and well-blended.
  3. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or until heated through.
  4. After 20 minutes, sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese on top and return it to the oven. Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Once out of the oven, let it cool slightly, then garnish with chopped green onions if desired. Serve with your favorite chips, vegetables, or crusty bread.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider using Greek yogurt instead of cream cheese or a light ranch dressing. Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing to avoid lumps and ensure a smooth consistency. If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through or microwave in short intervals.
