Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef Fresh or frozen
  • 3 cups broccoli florets Washed and chopped
  • 1 cup bell pepper, sliced Any color bell pepper is fine
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Low sodium option available
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Or use additional soy sauce for a vegetarian option
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced for best flavor
  • 1 inch ginger, grated Freshly grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For cooking
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving Choose your preference

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash and chop your broccoli and bell pepper. Set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large pan or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5–7 minutes until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Once the beef is cooked, add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Next, add the broccoli florets and sliced bell pepper to the pan. Stir-fry for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.
  4. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using). Stir everything together, allowing the sauce to coat the beef and vegetables. Keep cooking for another minute until everything is heated through.
  5. Remove from heat and serve the stir fry over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

Use high heat for a quick cook, don't overcrowd the pan, and adjust soy sauce based on taste. Enjoy with rice or noodles and optional cucumber salad or spring rolls.
