Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the yeast mixture, stirring until a dough begins to form.
- On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped rosemary.
Baking
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into small pieces (about the size of a golf ball).
- Dip each piece into the garlic butter and layer them in a greased bundt pan or loaf pan.
- Cover the pan and let the dough rise again for approximately 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow it to cool for 10 minutes before carefully removing it from the pan.
- Serve it warm, with extra garlic butter on the side if you like!
Notes
Don’t skip the yeast proofing; it ensures the bread rises perfectly. Feel free to experiment with herbs and add grated cheese for flavor.
