  • 1/2 cup Honey Use a good, runny honey for stickiness
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Balances the sweetness
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 in Fresh ginger Grated
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch For crispiness
  • 2 tbsp Toasted sesame oil Adds aroma
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds For garnish
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar Optional, for zing
  • 2 stalks Green onions Chopped, optional for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat chicken pieces dry to remove excess moisture.
  2. Toss chicken in cornstarch until evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a hot pan and fry the chicken until golden brown.
  2. Avoid crowding the pan to maintain crispiness.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and vinegar.
  4. Pour the sauce over the chicken and cook until it thickens and coats the chicken.
  5. Stir occasionally and monitor closely to avoid burning.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
