  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, washed and hulled Choose ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Chill the mixing bowl and beaters for better whipping.
  • ½ cup powdered sugar Adjust to taste for sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds flavor depth.
Optional Garnishes
  • to taste fresh mint leaves For garnish.
  • to taste crushed graham crackers For added crunch, if desired.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the strawberries under cold water, hull them, and cut into quarters. Set aside a few whole strawberries for garnish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, pour in the heavy cream. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then whip using an electric mixer until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Gently fold the quartered strawberries into the whipped cream until well combined, being careful not to over-mix.
  4. Spoon the mixture into individual bowls or a serving dish. Cover and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
Serving
  1. Once chilled, garnish with whole strawberries and a sprinkle of crushed graham crackers if desired. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days, or freeze for 1 month (thaw overnight before serving).
