  • 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce Adjust according to taste preference
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Can add more if needed for moisture
  • 1 tsp garlic powder For added flavor
  • 1 tsp onion powder For added flavor
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by trimming any excess fat from the chicken breasts.
  2. Pat them dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Cooking
  1. In your slow cooker, place the chicken breasts at the bottom.
  2. Pour the barbecue sauce and chicken broth over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated.
  3. Cover your crockpot and set it to low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
  4. Once it’s finished cooking, shred the chicken right in the crockpot for easy serving.
  5. Stir everything together to mix in that delicious BBQ sauce.
Serving
  1. Scoop the shredded chicken onto buns for sandwiches, or serve it over rice or mashed potatoes.

Notes
