  • 5 cups fresh spinach leaves (washed and dried) Use fresh and tender spinach for the best flavor.
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and sliced) Opt for ripe strawberries for sweetness.
Toppings
  • 1 cup sliced almonds (or walnuts) These add a delightful crunch.
  • ½ cup feta cheese (crumbled) Provides a creamy contrast.
  • ¼ cup red onion (thinly sliced) Adds a hint of sharpness.
Dressing
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinaigrette Drizzle lightly over the salad.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by washing and drying the fresh spinach leaves. Place them in a large salad bowl as the base of your salad.
  2. Hull the strawberries and slice them. Add the sliced strawberries on top of the spinach in the salad bowl.
  3. Sprinkle the sliced almonds (or walnuts) and crumbled feta cheese over the spinach and strawberries.
  4. Thinly slice the red onion and scatter it atop the salad.
Dressing and Serving
  1. Drizzle balsamic vinaigrette over the entire salad and toss gently to combine.
  2. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to enhance the flavors and mix once more.

Notes

Keep the dressing separate until just before serving to keep everything fresh and crisp. The salad can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
