  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup ketchup (for glaze)
  • Optional: diced vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, or celery For added nutrition

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed. If adding vegetables, fold them in now.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a loaf pan, shaping it neatly.
  4. Spread the ketchup evenly over the top of the loaf.
Baking
  1. Place the loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven, let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Store leftovers tightly wrapped in foil or plastic wrap, or in an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 3-4 days or freeze in portions for up to 2-3 months. To reheat, thaw overnight and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, or microwave slices for convenience.
